An inveterate adventurer who has travelled a good slice of the world. As a young man from Los Angeles to Moscow and from Helsinki to Cape Town; and later, much of Australia, New Zealand, Europe, SE Asia and sailing the Greek and Turkish coasts.

Floating through life until almost taking his last breath in Ethiopia’s Addis Ababa. Many highs but also some lows. A teacher, a training executive, an executive grade public/civil servant, a multi-state tourism operator, a consultant, a hospitality operator, a small-scale property developer and Army Reserve officer (CMF) who trained in Australia, the UK and Germany. 

All with the chaos of a wonderful family. A wife he’s never deserved and three awesome daughters.

Who lived in Sydney, Tasmania, London, Brisbane, Queensland’s Gold Coast and remote Alice Springs. With Tropical Darwin now home, the great Australian outdoors remain a constant draw.

An eclectic life that provides the inspiration, the settings and the authenticity for the Outback Adventure series.
