A COLD WAR TRAGEDY

AN ESCAPE FROM A RACIST FUTURE

A TERRORIST PLOT

THE PULL OF FAMILY ORIGINS

Tom saw his mother die.

His father died soon after.

Can the US Airforce provide a stable future?

Posted to a small US secret intelligence unit in remote Central Australia, there Tom finds a soul-mate, a laid-back lifestyle and a respite from Southern prejudice. But danger lurks around every corner.

He hopes a transfer to the town’s larger and top secret CIA base will provide an more stable future, a more secure future.

But al-Qaeda operative Jason Mkondo’s arrival explodes that stability.

Tom has hostages to save. A new bride to save.

Recuperating, he ponders his grandfather’s stories of the family’s origins, becoming obsessed with returning to his African roots. He eagerly embraces a transfer to a US embassy in Africa.

Unhappy with the move, wife Jane questions their future.

As violent death and destruction erupts, both are forced to re-asess their future.
